Maja Hastings is a graduate student at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, studying Art and Creative Enterprise Leadership at the Bolz Center for Arts Administration. A proud double Badger, she also holds a bachelor’s degree in Art: Graphic Design from UW–Madison. She has worked across the humanities, including market research, strategic communications, writing, and event coordination at the Madison Symphony Orchestra, as a designer for the Wisconsin Historical Society, and as Co-President of Belly Dancing UW. Maja combines diligence, creative problem solving, and a collaborative spirit, leading by example and helping others recognize and develop their own capabilities.

Maja believes that one of the most effective ways to be a successful leader is to have a commitment to knowledge. It is through learning that we are able to understand each other the world around us. She views art and design in the same light. Basing all of her work off information, Maja is able to capture a story in whatever media necessary. She brings a unique interdisciplinary lens to every project she is tasked with.
